Why Choose a Concentration in Accounting?
Prepare to manage organizations with responsible fiscal leadership.
Pacific University undergraduates with a major in business administration may choose an accounting concentration.
Students with an accounting concentration take a spectrum of business courses, as well as coursework specific to accounting, including tax accounting and auditing. It is our mission to develop graduates with the skills to effectively and efficiently manage organizations with responsible fiscal leadership. Students benefit from substantial academic and career guidance, international study experiences, research opportunities and student presentation requirements and diverse, off-campus internship opportunities in Oregon and across the country.
The program offers a unique and highly supportive learning environment, characterized by a relevant contemporary curriculum taught by engaged, highly respected, and caring faculty.
What Can You Do with an Accounting Concentration?
Pacific graduates with an accounting concentration in the business administration major find positions in public and private organizations, government, non-profit organizations, research, advertising and promotion, management and consulting. Students that are interested in becoming certified public accountants (CPA) should major in accounting.
