Sehan Kim, PhD
Sehan Kim is an assistant professor of accounting at Pacific University. His research explores the role of accounting information in corporate governance, executive compensation, and capital markets. Dr. Kim received his PhD in Accounting from University of Pittsburgh. He also holds a MS in Statistics from Purdue University, and a BA in Applied Statistics from Yonsei University.
Before entering academia, he was an equity analyst with Citigroup and Morgan Stanley covering financial institutions and consumer sectors in Asia Pacific and South Korea. He was also an associate market strategist with Citigroup.
Dr. Kim currently teaches Advanced Accounting and Managerial Accounting. He previously taught Intermediate Accounting, Accounting Theory & Research, and Principles of Financial Accounting at University of Houston - Clear Lake and State University of New York at Fredonia.
