All members of Pacific University have a responsibility to contribute to and maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment. The Bias Incident Reporting system was developed in Fall 2016 and continues to manage reports. The BIR is a protocol that applies to any bias incident reported that occurs at Pacific University, including the Forest Grove campus, Hillsboro campus, Eugene campus, at any Pacific University sponsored activity, and all other property owned or controlled by Pacific University. The Bias Incident Reporting system is available to any Pacific University community member.
Our mission is to make sure that all parties involved receive the support they need, by providing educational opportunities, referrals, and resources. The Bias Incident Reporting system is not a tool for policing thought or speech nor a platform for censorship. We are not judicial.
For more information on Hate Crime Reporting, see the Hate Crime Resources webpage.
