Helpful Questions for Parents to ask Childcare Providers:
- Is the provider certified, licensed or accredited? Request documentation and/or verify with the state.
- What is the adult-to-child ratio for care? How many children under the age of two are in the care?
- Is the provider trained in first aid? Certified in infant and child CPR?
- What are the security, safety and emergency policies? Are there plans in place? Ask to see these in writing.
- What is their billing policy? Do you provide receipts for income tax credits?
