All-Gender Restrooms
Pacific University offers more than 30 all-gender restrooms on its campuses to serve the needs of our diverse community.
Pacific’s all-gender restrooms are single-user spaces that are open to anyone. Each lockable space includes a toilet and sink and is open to anyone. A list of locations is available below, and these all-gender restrooms are clearly marked with the sign to the right.
All-gender restrooms are one way that Pacific University works to provide a safer space for all students, faculty, staff and community members. All-gender restrooms help serve the needs of trans and gender nonconforming people, as well as families with children and alter-abled people who may require an attendant of a different gender.

History of All-Gender Restrooms at Pacific
The creation of designated all-gender restrooms at Pacific University was instigated by a request of the Undergraduate Student Senate, with support from the Professional Student Senate and Center for Gender Equity.
In January 2016, all existing, locking, single-user restrooms were updated with new signage designating them as all-gender spaces. The initial movement created 34 all-gender spaces.
