The post-baccalaureate data science certificate program at Pacific University has been intentionally designed for working professionals to learn data analysis skills to kickstart a career in this rapidly-growing field. As a Pacific University data science post-bacc student, you will:
- Develop a deep understanding and practical knowledge of machine learning, data mining, statistical learning and data visualization.
- Complete four courses designed to build industry-relevant data analysis skills.
- Earn a post-baccalaureate data science certificate in nine months over two semesters.
- Choose from two tracks: machine learning or statistical learning, which are offered in rotation every other year. The machine learning classes start in the fall semester of even-numbered years, and the statistical learning classes start in the fall semester of odd-numbered years.
- Take courses in a flexible hybrid format that works for you. Data science post-bacc students can choose to take classes in person on the Forest Grove campus, or can choose from a flexible hybrid format of in-person, online, and pre-recorded courses, as well as virtual meetings with professors.
- Learn from experienced data science faculty who are active researchers.
