Learn By Doing
Paragraphs

Learning by doing is how Pacific University students become critical thinkers, problem-solvers, and future leaders.

Because at Pacific, we teach our students how to think, not what to think.

You can find our students side by side with faculty in community centers and watersheds, on site with their future employers, and in many other spaces across the world and outside of the traditional classrooms.

Our students work with faculty to create the unique learning experiences that allow them to explore the ways they want to matter in the world.

At Pacific, students become researchers, artists and community advocates who never settle, changing lives through breakthrough ideas and solutions.

Creative for a Cause

At Pacific, creativity meets meaningful action in our studios, performance spaces, and on the screen. Through the arts, students build community and break down barriers to allow everyone to reach their full potential. Students not only study the arts — in majors like art, dance, media, music, or theatre — they put their creativity to work to inspire, uplift and pursue justice through programs like music education or applied theatre.

Global Perspectives

People matter. At Pacific, we seek an understanding of individuals, societies and cultures to improve the human condition and pursue justice in the world. Through short travel courses, semester- and year-long study abroad, and international internships and clinical placements, Pacific students learn, serve and grow, preparing for careers in a diverse global society.
