May Commencement

May Commencement is the crowning finish to the academic year and a time to recognize the outstanding graduating students of Pacific University. Join us for a weekend of festivities celebrating their graduation. 

May Commencement features two ceremonies:

  • The Undergraduate Ceremony, held in the morning, recognizes the graduation of students earning bachelor's degrees in the colleges of Arts & Sciences, Business, Education and Optometry.
  • The Graduate/Professional Ceremony, held in the afternoon, recognizes the graduation of students earning master's and doctoral degrees in master's and doctoral degrees in the College of Arts & Sciences (nonprofit leadership, social work), College of Business (MBA), College of Education (speech-language pathology, teaching, education), College of Health Professions (pharmacy, athletic training, physical therapy, healthcare science, medical science) and College of Optometry (optometry, vision science).

Pacific provides all-day photo coverage of our commencement ceremonies.Candid photos of the special moments of the day, along with portraits of each graduate on stage, are available for free download for our graduating students and their supporters.

MSW Graduation Celebration

Forest Grove, Marsh Hall, Taylor Auditorium (Room 216)

Masters of Social Work graduates and their guests are welcome for a formal program to honor each graduate. Graduates will be given their hoods and the program is followed by dinner in Marsh Hall.

Sign, Shake and Ring

Undergraduate students who are graduating spring 2025 are invited to attend Pacific University’s Sign, Shake and Ring ceremony on Friday, May 16 between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m.
