Diplomas
Degrees are conferred only after the Registrar verifies that all requirements have been successfully completed. Diplomas will be mailed within 6-8 weeks of degree conferral to the address specified on the Application for Graduation, or students may arrange to pick up their diploma and cover at the Registrar’s Office (diploma covers are not mailed).
Verify Mailing Address Students must verify and/or update their mailing address by the Monday of Commencement week. If the mailing address is incorrect and the diploma is not delivered, students will be responsible for purchasing a duplicate diploma (see below for details).
Verify Diploma Name The name printed on your diploma is taken directly from the graduation application which will default to your full legal name as entered in our system. You can edit the requested “Diploma Name” provided it matches the Diploma Name Requirements listed below.
Name changes must be updated prior to the start of your last term.
For changes to your preferred or legal name please submit a Name and/or Legal Sex Designation Change Request Form.
Diploma not delivered? If you did not receive your diploma within the 6-8 week timeframe following conferral, and your mailing address is accurate, you have 30 days to alert the Registrar's Office and we will reprint and mail your diploma. If you contact the Registrar's Office after a lapse of 30 days past conferral, you will be responsible for purchasing a duplicate diploma (see below for details).
Diplomas will not be released if there is a financial hold on the student's account.
