Mission

The Indigenous Student Alliance (ISA) is an inclusive community of members with tribal and nontribal affiliation (allies) coming together to share indigenous culture, explore identity, celebrate heritage, and strengthen indigenous representation at Pacific University and beyond.

Community, Ceremony, and Action

Members of ISA meet weekly to socialize, work on projects, discuss important issues, plan events, collaborate with other clubs, and participate in community outreach. Each fall, we kick off the school year with a "Fry Bread Social," and every May we celebrate the end of the academic year with a "Story and Drum Ceremony." All students are invited to attend.

Membership 

Membership in ISA is open to any student, staff, and faculty of Pacific University regardless of race, ethnicity, or heritage. To become a member, email indigenousstudentalliance@groups.pacificu.edu.

Pacific University's Indigenous Student Alliance (ISA) presented Kansas State Representative Ponka-We Victors Cozad as the keynote speaker for Native American Heritage month in November 2022. Her speech, "Representation Matters," addressed her experience as the first Native American woman to serve in the Kansas legislature. Watch Rep. Victors-Cozad's speech.
