New Student Advising & Registration

Congratulations on becoming a Boxer!

Summer advising is a perfect way to register for your classes and have your questions answered for both first-time freshmen and transfers before classes start in the fall.

Before Scheduling Advising & Registration

Incoming students must have the following finished before they attend a summer advising and registration event:

• Visit the Academic & Career Advising web page.
• Make sure to set up your Pacific University email address (called a "PUnet ID"). Here's how:
  • An email was sent from the Technology Helpdesk at Pacific University just after you were accepted, and if you set up your PUnet ID already then you can use that as your account login information.
  • If you have not already set up this account, or if it's been over 30 days since you were admitted, please contact our Technology Helpdesk by calling (503) 352-1500 Mon-Fri from 8am - 5pm Oregon time. During this short process, you will set your password, agree to our user agreement, and answer a few questions to verify your identity.
  • Please make sure you have completed all these steps before moving on so that your account will be fully activated.
• Please complete the Academic Interest Survey that will be sent to your PUNet email account.
• Housing Application will be sent to your PUNet email account.
• Language Placement Test (Freshman Only - Info will be coming your way soon).
• Official College Transcripts Submitted (if you have taken college courses).

• Advising & Registration (On-Campus & Remote) - NOTE:  The Advising Office will be contacting you to let you know what your Advising date/time is.  These events are Academic Interest-specific.  You will be assigned your date based on the area of study that you indicated on the AIS.

On-Campus and Distance Advising Events | July - August

Advising & Registration is an opportunity for incoming freshmen and their families to visit our campus or participate in a webinar to complete the registration program. Students and their families have the opportunity to learn more about orientation, housing, dining services, financial aid and billing, and any other questions they have. 

NOTE:  The Advising Office will be contacting you so that you can choose from a list of dates for Advising & Registration.  These events are Academic Interest-specific.  You will be assigned your date based on the area of study that you indicated on the AIS. 

Hawai‘i Summer Registration | Dates are TBA

Hawai‘i Advising & Registration is an opportunity for incoming freshmen students with their families to participate in the advising and registration program. Students will meet with a faculty advisor to select and register for fall classes. Students and families have the opportunity to learn more about orientation, housing, dining services, financial aid and billing, and any other questions they have. 

Event to be held at 'Iolani School on Oahu. 

Transfer Student Advising & Registration (On-Campus or by Phone)

Scheduled Individually after June 1

Appointments can either be in person or over the phone and will be scheduled after you have submitted your final official transcripts to Pacific for all institutions attended — including the most recent term of attendance. Transfer student advising & registration will generally begin after June 1 for fall starters, and after Jan. 1 for spring starters. Please direct any questions about Transfer Student Advising & Registration to the Advising Center.
