Music was a powerful force as Cody Mills '20 transitioned from military life to civilian life. Now a graduate of Pacific's music therapy program, Mills uses the power of music to help others.
“I was able to leave Pacific being able to write very prolifically and be a good scientific writer,” said Parks. “And besides the research, Pacific really prepared for my graduate-level classes. Honestly, my graduate-level classes, I thought they were so easy. Pacific does a very good job of making sure the courses are rigorous.”
Nate Anderson '17, MAT '20 earned his undergraduate degree in exercise science at Pacific University, then went on to earn his master of arts in teaching. "I loved the small school feel and how closely you get to work with the professors here," he said.

Financial support for internships launch student careers. For Deanté Grinner ’20, first recipient of Pacific University’s Arts & Sciences Endowed Internship Fund Scholarship, the $500 scholarship helped cover his expenses while working as an unpaid intern during the summer of 2019 at a Cornelius-based cinematic grip and lighting firm.
“I love new experiences because they mean more stories,” said Addison, who has participated in Speech & Debate, English Club and the Black Student Union at Pacific.
