Wildwood Movie Premiere

Hello Boxers! The Student Engagement and Inclusion Office invites you on a trip to McMenamin's Grand Lodge to see an early showing of Wildwood on Thursday, October 22nd at 7pm.

Wildwood is a stop motion animated fantasy-adventure film by Laika Studios, based on the Wildwood Chronicles book series by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis.

Beyond Portland's city limits lies Wildwood. You're not supposed to go there. You're not even supposed to know it exists. But Prue McKeel is about to enter this enchanted wonderland. Her baby brother Mac has been taken by a murder of crows into the forest's depths, and she - along with her hapless classmate Curtis - is going to get him back. Prue might think she's too old for fairytales, but she's just found herself at the center of one. One filled with strange talking animals, roguish bandits, and powerful figures with the darkest intentions.

Registration is required (due by October 15th) and only 30 tickets are available, so register ASAP! Transportation is provided via 12-passenger vans that are not wheelchair accessible. We will be shuttling beginning at 5pm, departing from outside the Milky Way Wellbeing Collective (2017 21st Avenue) with the last shuttle departing campus at 6:30pm. Shuttles will return back to campus immediately after the movie.

McMenamins Grand Lodge also has restaurants, a walking tour, and a soaking pool for you to explore! Consider taking a shuttle earlier and checking out all the amenities before the movie at 7. Learn more about Things to Do at the Grand Lodge here: https://www.mcmenamins.com/grand-lodge
