Join the Pacific MFA's next online weekend workshop in The Body Chronicles series, “Writing Pain,” Friday, December 6 – Sunday, December 8, 2024. For those three days, we welcome a host of facilitators, including MFA faculty poets Danusha Laméris and Mahtem Shiferraw, nonfiction alum Caroline Catlin, current MFA poet Joanne Godley, and special guest Ann Neumann, a Pulitzer Center grantee and author of The Good Death. Program director Scott Korb will also be doing some teaching.
“Writing Pain” will include craft talks, a seminar style discussion, co-led generative writing sessions, readings and Q&A from our facilitators, and many opportunities for conversation about crafting the various sites and experiences of pain, from the personal to the political, physical to psychological, embodied to imagined through our work. We welcome writers across all genres to register.
