All students looking for a part-time job, or who are interested in gaining valuable experience and connecting with the community, are invited to attend the Fall Work & Service Fair!

  • Non-Work Study positions
  • Internships
  • Work-Study positions (on and off campus)
  • Community Service/Volunteer opportunities

Visit the Academic and Career Advising Center to prepare by reviewing your resume or job application, or learning tips for networking and interviewing.

Tips for attending the in-person fair:

  • Research who will be there. Review the most recent list of employers attending the fair on Handshake. No need to internet stalk them, just narrow it down to some businesses that you are willing to work for. Select three to seven businesses to talk to, this will help you better navigate the fair.
  • Prepare a few talking points. The employers that you meet with want to learn more about you. So think of an “elevator pitch” about yourself — a short overview about your background, studies, and career goals. Practice with a friend or family member so you’re ready when it’s time to introduce yourself to a recruiter.
  • Is this your first career event? Feeling nervous and unsure how to prepare? Is your resume ready? The Academic and Career Advising Center has your back!
