Robin Epstein | 2020 Art Instructor Show

Robin Epstein is a featured artist in The Art Instructor Show, a virtual gallery featuring artwork created by Pacific’s talented art & design faculty.

What motivates my creative process in metalsmithing is the desire to evoke the spirit of an unearthed artifact from a lost civilization, combining found materials, semi-precious stones, everyday materials and patinas from natural elements. I consider the functional parts as essential to the overall design, and challenge myself (and my students) to come up with new and creative ideas for mechanisms.
