Pacific University’s 2nd Annual Spirit of Civic Engagement Summit will take place on Saturday, March 15 and explore “Civic Engagement in Polarizing Times”. This half-day event invites participants to examine critical questions surrounding the current state of polarization and how we, as individuals and communities, can work toward solutions:
- How can we engage in meaningful problem-solving and create community-driven solutions amidst rising polarization?
- What strategies can help us overcome the divisions that seem to be holding us back?
- In an era marked by division, where can we find the hope and inspiration to move forward?
Taking place between 9:00am-1:30pm on Pacific's Forest Grove campus, the event will include 5 amazing speakers from around the Portland metro region and include both breakfast and lunch.
Attendance is by nomination only. Please use this form to nominate a Pacific University student, employee, or community partner who you think would be interested in this topic, and would be an engaged participant in our half-day program. Self-nominations are encouraged, if you would like to attend yourself!
Nominating someone does not guarantee an invitation, and does not obligate them to attend, but it will help us find an inspired group of attendees who will enjoy and benefit from this event!
