Prepare to teach English as a second language, here in the United States or overseas.
Learn the foundations of teaching English to a variety of ages, and choose from foreign language courses in French, Chinese, Spanish, German or Japanese. If you are already proficient in one of those languages, you can choose from cultural studies courses instead.
The TESOL minor also leads to an endorsement in ESOL at K-12, if students are already admitted to the undergraduate initial teaching licensure program in the College of Education.
The TESOL minor can also be paired with any major, preparing you to teach English overseas.
