Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission

Pacific University Office of Accessibility and Accommodations serves students with disabilities by promoting disability equity, practicing advocacy, and collaborating with community partners. OAA recognizes that disability justice is a shared responsibility grounded in civil rights law and social justice.

Vision

To create a more accessible campus where students with disabilities are empowered to go forth and promote advocacy for our global community. 

Values

Disability Equity: Create a campus environment that is inclusive and accessible for students with disabilities.

Social Justice: Recognize that disability rights are civil rights, honor the legacy of disability advocates, and continue their work today by serving our student population.

Accessibility: Work collaboratively with staff, students, and faculty to ensure students with disabilities have equal access to education.

Advocacy: Empower our community to identify barriers and engage in the interactive process as we find solutions together.

Student Centered: Value the lived experience of our students and acknowledge how those experiences impact their education.
