People | Berglund Center
The Berglund Center is made up of a broad spectrum of students and staff that are either creating a new product/service or venture, or providing support to those projects being incubated. Here is a preview on how the Center operates.
Board of Advisors- Is an important group of professionals that help the Director of the Berglund Center define the programs, investments and programs that best supports the University and Center's Mission.
Staff- The Director of the Berglund Center and the Boxer Makerspace Coordinator make up the staff at the Center. Together, they bring in-house expertise in areas of science, engineering, manufacturing, design and entrepreneurship.
Coaches- Are a dedicated group of experts in Business, Design, Engineering and Technical fields that work alongside our students, staff and fellows to support, guide and strengthen the experiential learning experience of the fellowship program.
Fellows- Are the student winners of the Inspired Ideas Competition, who receive funding, technical and business support to make their innovations come true in an academic year.
Creative Design Team- Includes students who have interests in coding, mechanical/electrical engineering, prototyping, 3D design, art or design, who work with our staff, coaches and fellows to create the proof-of-concept prototypes of the Inspired Ideas Competition winning teams.
Business Development Team- includes students who are interested in learning how to create business plans, startup strategies, financial planning, marketing and communication and entrepreneurship.
Makerspace Technicians- are students who are responsible for supporting community users in the safe operation of equipment in the Boxer Makerspace.
