A friend of the university, Fay Littlefield realized a little can go a long way. The mother of an optometry alumna and faculty member, Littlefield has established two endowments to support student success.

After earning his doctor of pharmacy from Pacific, Peter Agbo PharmD '09 went on to receive a master of public health and a doctor of medicine degree. Today, he spends most of his time at the hospital where he works. But he's also founded a nonprofit organization and takes fellow healthcare providers back home to West Africa annually to serve those without access to healthcare.

Pacific University's Black Student Union was formed in 1967 to give African American students a center of social and political gravity. It later went dormant, but has rebounded again to provide African American students with a sense of community.

Washington Monthly has named Pacific a "Best College for Student Voting" list, which measures how well institutions encourage their students to vote.

Max Miura ’79 was presented with the Oahu Interscholastic Association Official Service Award for his longtime involvement with wrestling. 
Gail Dudley PT ’79 kicked off her retirement in May by spending her summer exploring and enjoying the state of Alaska.
