The Pacific Undergraduate Research Conference is returning to an in-person format this fall on Nov. 10. For many presenters, these research projects will become the basis of their senior capstone project. Kelsey Schweitzer ʼ11 attended Pacific University with hopes to become a marine biologist. She dreamed of studying wildlife to find ways to promote the health of the environment and mankind. Eight years later, she had her heart set on going to law school.
Pacific University unveiled its new Boxer Gardens at an open house Aug. 29. The gardens sit on a compact .4-acre property on the Forest Grove Campus bordered on the west by Main Street, east by Hanson Stadium, north by the barber pole and south along the Stoller Center parking lot.

Pacific is working with the city of Forest Grove to conserve water. Beginning Monday, June 20, the university is shutting down the irrigation system on the Forest Grove Campus and will not be watering the lawn or plants for approximately one week. Water will still be available to students on campus in summer housing.
The Pacific University Undergraduate Research Scholarship Creative Inquiry Summer Institute (URSCI) is organizing a new project in hopes of facilitating a stronger community through the power of sharing stories. The goal of this project is to both foster feelings of hope as well as acknowledge the hopelessness people may feel at various times in their lives.
