The construction team at Pacific Hall remains focused on demo, excavation, and preparation for the shear wall work at level 1, as well as HVAC demo and other miscellaneous demo. This work represents the crux of the seismic upgrade with the project as a whole.

The next phase of construction focuses on preparing to pour concrete for the grade beams and stair footings as the project builds toward pouring Shotcrete shear walls. Framing for new interior walls on the second floor will begin during the first week of August.

At a high-level, the construction team is still proceeding with demolition and abatement, with excavation for the shear walls and window removal getting more fully underway. There will continue to be significant noise level from this work over the next two to three weeks, as well as construction vehicles entering and exiting the site via the west fire lane gate.
Construction work at Pacific Hall this week includes erecting scaffolding, demolition, and possible window removal. A reminder for students and employees to adhere to all construction safety signage posted at the gates, and to refrain from walking down the fire lane even when the gates are open.
The bulk of the work at Pacific Hall for the next two to three weeks will primarily comprise demolition, abatement, utility safe off and delivery of materials and storage containers to the site. Learn more about activites during the week of June 5.
Construction at Pacific Hall is officially underway! Contractors will be working onsite during the next few weeks to complete most of the demolition and abatement work.
Last call for employees working in Pacific Hall to pack up their offices by the end of day. Contractors will be on-site Friday, May 26, to start prepping for construction the following week.
Exciting changes are coming to the Forest Grove Campus in 2023. We are in the final phase of a construction project which will create additional classrooms, computer technology labs, and study spaces to support academic programs, while also addressing infrastructure upgrades for the building.
