Police Bias Training
Pacific University and the Forest Grove Police Department are challenging bias, race and policing. In October, the university hosted a private training involving scenarios about the houseless, immigrants, and a mental health crisis. Learn more about this evolving partnership that started 18 months ago.
Join us for the first of a five-part series on Latinx History. The online presentation will be led by Israel Pastrana, a Chicanx historian and educator, who will be discussing the historical origins of Latinx migration to Oregon and the Pacific Northwest on ZOOM at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 30.
Students, faculty and staff are invited to share a personal written or video message with Narce as she embarks on her retirement in December.

Full-time students admitted to the Master of Nonprofit Leadership program's 2023 cohort are eligible for two new $5,000 scholarships. Students serving Latino/a/x communities or dedicated to environmental conservation, advocacy or education are eligible to apply by Oct. 31.
The Indigenous Engagement Committee has prepared a set of resources for members of the university community interested in offering land acknowledgments.
