Share a Personal Message and Celebrate Narce Rodriguez's Retirement
Students, faculty and staff are invited to us in celebrating the retirement of Narce Rodriguez!
Rodriguez is retiring after over 30 years in higher education, the last six of which were at Pacific University as it’s chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion officer prior to her promotion as Student Affairs vice president. Under her leadership, Pacific expanded it’s EDI efforts, implemented a Bias and Hate Incident Reporting System, promoted professional development opportunities and workshops, and reinvigorated outreach to BIPOC faculty, staff and students.
She previously worked at Portland Community College, Portland State University and Oregon State University. Actively involved in the Forest Grove community, she serves a board member for Centro Cultural, Latino Policy Council, and is also an elected official for the Forest Grove School District Board.
Rodriguez is looking forward to spending her retirement traveling with family and enjoying time with her grandchildren.
Please join us in the Marsh Hall first floor Lobby for refreshments from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, and wish her buena suerte (good luck)!
Students, faculty and staff are invited to share a personal written or video message via this submission link, no later than Dec. 7. Submissions will be collected and shared at the retirement celebration.
In lieu of gifts, please consider supporting the OEDI Education & Professional Development Fund established to help support further EDI efforts at Pacific University.
