Pacific University's academic and extracurricular engagement with the outdoors may be traced to the first Earth Day in 1970.

Outdoor Pursuits will be closed during finals from May 16 t o May 20, and will be reopen for summer hours beginning Monday, May 23.

Spring into the summer season, and participate in one of Outdoor Pursuits remaining excursions for the semester! OP also has plenty of outdoor gear available for rent throughout the summer! There are items for surfing, paddle boarding, biking, hiking, camping, along with cruiser bikes available weekdays.

Join Outdoor Pursuits for an outdoor rock climbing day trip for veterans and friends, a night of indoor rock climbing in Portland, or participate in a two-day certification course in May to earn your Wilderness First Aid Certification.

Even though this week has been filled with every possible kind of weather imaginable, Outdoor Pursuits staff are excited to take students on trips during the last few weeks of the semester! Join an indoor rock climbing trip, a Veterans and Friends outdoor rock climbing trip, a Wilderness First Aid Certification course, and more!
