May 15, 2024 was a very busy day for the School of Pharmacy. Not only were the halls bustling with students as finals were finishing up, lockers getting cleaned out and graduating students did exit interviews, but we hosted the first in-person Advisory Board Meetings since the pandemic!

School of Pharmacy Class of 2024 Awards and Recognitions
We are excited to announce our Annual Career and Rotation Fair which will be held at the Wingspan Conference and Events Center in Hillsboro on Friday, November 1st at 9:00 am.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the School of Pharmacy disseminated $124,250 in various scholarship and hardship funds to the students enrolled in our programs. Thirty-two incoming PharmD first-year students enrolled in the 3-year or 5-year PharmD programs received various levels of one-time Academic Merit Award Scholarships ranging from Dean’s Award to School of Pharmacy Award, all totaled, $97,000.
Postseason honors continue to roll in for Pacific's head women's rowing coach and four Boxers who have been named All-Americans.
The end of the year was very special for us as our first class just completed our new PharmD curriculum and was ready to graduate. The Class of 2024 was the first class that was enrolled in our new integrated semester-based curriculum that launched in Fall 2021.
Mandatory annual testing will be performed from June 10 through June 28 on both the Forest Grove and Hillsboro Campuses.
It has been 15 years since our Inaugural Class of 2009 graduated from Pacific University School of Pharmacy! Since we just hooded the latest Class of 2024 and sent them on their way into the world of pharmacy, we thought it would be great to touch bases with one of our alumni that graduated in 2009.
It will be a long summer without coffee on our Forest Grove campus, but we have a new exciting coffee shop to be run by Bon Appétit opening in August 2024.
On April 1, 2024 Pacific University School of Pharmacy hired a new Assistant Professor, Dr. Katie Steele, PharmD, BCACP. Dr. Steele received her PharmD in 2015 and brings with her a strong focus in ambulatory care, cultural competency, underserved populations, patient education, mentorship and post-graduate education. We caught up with her and asked her some key questions to learn more about her and her background, why she wanted to join Pacific University and some interesting personal fun facts!
