Scholarships Helped School of Pharmacy Students in 2024
In academic year 2023-2024, the School of Pharmacy disseminated $124,250 in various scholarship and hardship funds to the students enrolled in our programs. 32 incoming PharmD first-year students enrolled in the 3-year or 5-year PharmD programs received various levels of one-time Academic Merit Award Scholarships ranging from Dean’s Award to School of Pharmacy Award, all totaled, $97,000. In addition, 22 students enrolled in the 3-Year and 5-year PharmD programs and MS in Pharmaceutical Sciences program were awarded, in Spring 2024, School specific distinguished Scholarships in the amount of $25,000 (Table 1). In addition, throughout this academic year, the School was able to distribute $2,250 from the Pharmacy Advisory Board Endowment Fund to three different PharmD students in need who experienced various hardships to help them to alleviate random/unexpected financial stress/burden and continue in their studies.
This would not be possible without continuous generosity and support from our donors and friends, support that helps us to continue to carry out our mission. We would like to thank all!
