For many students, winter break means taking a much-needed break from school, catching up on some sleep, and traveling home. However, it can also entail a mix of emotions and experiences – happiness, weird family dynamics – and this year, concerns about COVID-19. The Student Counseling Center offers some tips on how to adapt to changing environments over the holiday season.

Maria Dimopoulos '23
Maria Dimopoulos '23, was elected Board of Directors president for the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State. Dimopoulos, a first year doctoral student in the PhD program in Education and Leadership (PhDEL), was also recently featured on the cover of the The Scanner, the news magazine for the American Society for Radiologic Technologists.
School of Audiology Students Courtney Crespi and Theresa Ravago Mireles  developed the Audi-Buddy program in partnership with Shelby Atwill, AuD, and Tucker Maxon School, an Oregon-based non-profit auditory-verbal school where students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing (DHoH) and students with typical hearing learn together.

Doctors Bridges, Hilliard and Chui published a systematic review on the effects of light therapy on osteoarthritis. Their research was published in the January/March 2020 edition of Topics in Geriatric Rehabilitation.
Faculty and alumni from Pacific University's Physical Therapy Program are serving leadership positions with the American Physical Therapy Association's Oregon chapter.
