Maria Dimopoulos '23 Elected Board President of Radiation Therapy Association of New York

Maria Dimopoulos '23, was elected Board of Directors president for the Radiation Therapy Association of New York State.

A first year doctoral student in the PhD program in Education and Leadership (PhDEL), Dimopoulos was recently featured on the cover of the The Scanner, the news magazine for the American Society for Radiologic Technologists. The magazine highlights Maria's work with radiation therapy students at Stony Brooke University. In this issue, Maria asked students to share "the most valuable, challenging and encouraging aspects of their clinical experience." Her doctoral work explores the intersection between health and education in radiation therapy.
