Siddhartha Deb is the author of two novels and two books of nonfiction, most recently, Twilight Prisoners: The Rise of the Hindu Right and the Fall of India, and in 2011, The Beautiful and the Damned: Life in the New India, a work of narrative nonfiction named as a finalist for the Orwell Prize and a recipient of the PEN Open award. The Light at the End of the World, his latest novel, was published in Spring 2023. His journalism, fiction, and essays have appeared in The New York Times, The New Republic, The Guardian, The Nation, The Baffler, and n+1. A professor of creative writing at the New School, he is the recipient of fellowships from the Radcliffe Institute and the Howard Foundation.
