Melody McGee, RDH, EPDH, MBA
Melody graduated from Pacific University’s Dental Hygiene program in 2013 and has
8 years of clinical experience working with Kaiser Permanente. Her patient panel
consisted of primarily moderate to severe periodontal patients, where she worked
closely with the periodontist to manage care for these delicate patients. Beyond her
clinical care role, Melody was voted as a Unit Based Teams Co-lead for her office, a
leadership position that partners with management and her workgroup to develop
projects that ensure their office runs efficiently while providing high quality care. In
2018, Melody was selected for the Kaiser sponsored partnership role with Pacific
University to be adjunct faculty in senior clinic, helping students as they learn to provide care for
periodontally involved patients. This position helped her solidify her desire to become a full-time faculty
member. She was drawn to Pacific University by their mission committed to outstanding education and
service to the community. Melody is excited to be a part of developing new leaders in the dental
hygiene profession by bringing real-world experience, empowering students to be active participants in
their education, and being a dedicated compassionate mentor.
Melody completed her Master’s in Business Administration from Colorado Tech University in 2022. She
has a scholarly interest in medical-dental integration and how integrating care can help improve patient
oral and overall health.
Melody is a native Oregonian, loves spending time with her friends and family, yoga, doing all things
outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, and traveling to explore new areas.
