Practice/Research Interests
Dr. Fortner's practice and research interests include pharmaceutical compounding, patient-centered care in the community setting, and pharmacist provided clinical services. He maintains a practice site at an independent community pharmacy which also specializes in non-sterile compounding and long-term care medication preparation.

Outside the Classroom
Dr. Fortner enjoys spending time with his wife and two young daughters, trying and sharing new craft beers, reading sci-fi/fantasy fiction, being outdoors with his family and their dog, practicing Taekwondo with his kids, trying new craft breweries, playing the occasional video game, cycling, and searching for the perfect whiskey.
