Areas of Research & Specialization

Most of my spare time is used to study and develop software for Android devices. In the Spring of 2012, I taught one of the first smartphone development courses in higher education. Projects produced in the class included: 3D Lights out game using OpenGL ES, multiplayer Battleship game using Bluetooth, Music Player, Galactic Conquest game with AI and snake.

Professional Information

I earned my BA in mathematics from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo., and my MS in computer science from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo. Prior to coming to Pacific, I worked in the telecommunications industry and co-authored an introductory programming textbook. I also served as a consultant to Tektronix Corporation in Beaverton, Ore. My research interests center on developing software for mobile devices.
