On Sunday, May 5, the combined forces of the Music Department will present Beethoven's Mass in C major at 3 p.m. in McCready Hall. Conducted by Dr. Scott Tuomi, the concert will feature the Pacific University Chamber Singers, the Pacific University Concert Choir and a choir of over 60 alumni! The orchestra will be comprised of Pacific students, Pacific music faculty and additional professional musicians. The vocal soloists will be Pacific faculty members, Anne Reed, soprano; Grace Weaver, mezzo-soprano, Konstantin Kvach, bass and guest tenor, Brian Tierney. This special musical event will be Dr. Tuomi's final concert at Pacific after serving 36 years on the music faculty.
In case tickets are sold out, there will be free overflow live-streaming of this concert in next door, Murdock 118/McGill Auditorium, a less formal more accessible environment.
