Course Information
At Pacific University, all faculty teach a variety of different courses. Typically, we do not use graduate teaching assistants, which means that your classes will be taught by professors. At Pacific, you will have the opportunity to get to know the faculty in your discipline, and they will know you.
Below I have listed some of the courses that I teach.
IS 201 | Intercultural Communication
IS/HUM 311, 312, 313 | Global Skills Program
WORL 365 | Teaching Languages and Culture in Elementary School
FREN 385 | Seminar in French: Love Literature, Autobiography in French Literature, or Engaged Literature in the 20th-Century
FREN/HUM 370| Discovery of France and Beyond (Winter travel course, offered every-other year)

Biography
I began teaching at Pacific University in 2004 and have been enriched by the community ties with students and colleagues ever since. I chair the International Studies Program where I teach courses in intercultural communication as well as a 3-course Global Skills program that prepares students for study abroad and beyond. I also co-direct the Global Scholars Program which provides equitable access to global learning opportunities. I also enjoy teaching all levels of French language and literature, as well as courses in language pedagogy. I love to travel both in the US and abroad, eat wholesome, gourmet food, and hike, ski, and kayak in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
