The 2024 Corn Roast & Harvest Festival and Annual Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21. Come join the fun!
Corn Roast & Harvest Festival Event Time: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The annual Forest Grove Corn Roast and Harvest Festival is hosted by the Forest Grove/Cornelius Chamber of Commerce and Pacific University. Corn Roast started in 1964 as an initiative to introduce incoming educators to the community and celebrate the start of the fall harvest. Come join the fun! There will be vendors, entertainment, community speakers, games, and of course delicious, fire-roasted corn! Our very own Indiginous Student Alliance will speak and perform at the event!
Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival Event Time: 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Cemented as the longest-running chalk art festival in Oregon, the Sidewalk Chalk Art Festival brings artists of all experiences together, giving people the chance to express themselves and show off their work on city sidewalks. The festival is organized each year by the Valley Art Association, a local group supporting the arts in Washington County, which has a gallery on Forest Grove’s Main Street. To participate, residents can purchase one reserved sidewalk square from Valley Art day of the event for $15. Each purchase includes a box of pastel chalk.
Please note the following streets will be closed all day Saturday:
- College Way: between University Avenue and Pacific Avenue
-21st Avenue- between College Way and Main Street
-Main Street- between 21st Avenue and Pacific Ave
The following parking lots will be closed all day Saturday:
-H Lot
-G Lot
P Lot (South half only) will also experience more traffic than usual on Saturday and several parking spots along College Way may be blocked off starting Friday evening.
