The Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Task Force is excited to welcome Pueblo Unido to the Forest Grove campus for two workshop sessions on September 23 (11-1pm) and September 26 (3-5pm). These workshops are available to all members of the Pacific University community.

Pueblo Unido is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting community members with vulnerable immigration status by connecting them to legal, social, and Indigenous language interpretation services.

During their each of their visits to Pacific, Pueblo Unido will host a workshop focused on:

  • Accessing and utilizing the Equity Corps of Oregon (ECO) program, which offers free legal immigration services
  • Navigating the immigration process, specifically the defensive asylum process
  • Understanding the key components of an asylum application, including important deadlines
  • Differentiating between immigration documents and the various agencies involved in immigration cases

Whether you're seeking these vital services for yourself or hoping to better support others in doing so, this is a great chance to learn how you can make a difference in our community.
