How to Use Amazon Codes: Don't

Welcome back! With any luck, you've managed to mostly settle in and have made all the one-time purchases to get your spaces set up and comfortable. But we all know that people will keep ordering things, and a good portion of those orders will be from Amazon. In which case, Mail Services has a request:

Please don't require One-Time Passwords (OTP)

While there are times that Amazon may require a One-Time Password or code because of the value of certain packages, please do not request them if given the choice. We have had multiple issues with Amazon trying to deliver to us, but not having been provided the code. When this happens, the package had to go back with the driver and they have to come back the next day. Often, this happens multiple days in a row.

If your package Requires an OTP, make sure to forward the email with the code to mailservices@pacificu.edu as soon as you receive it.

If your concern is about making sure that it is delivered directly to someone in the Mail Room, and you're worried that if you don't require a code then the package might get left somewhere, then consider instead selecting a delivery time when the Mail Room is open. You can also add delivery instructions of 'Deliver to the Mail Room in the basement of Washburne University Center.'
