Pacific Community Champions their Boxer Spirit on Boxer Giving Day 2024
A resounding round of applause to the Pacific University community for uniting for Boxer Giving Day to support our students. Together, we raised more than $300,000 for scholarships, academics and student opportunities at Pacific.
Among the highlights of Boxer Giving Day was the long-awaited return of the original Boxer statue. Once known as College Spirit, the emblem of Pacific disappeared 55 years ago. While the Boxer Spirit never died, the mystery of the missing statue has gone unsolved for half a century - until now. Learn how the beloved mascot returned to campus.
Amid the excitement, more than 750 alumni, trustees, employees, parents, friends, and students flocked to celebrate their own Boxer Spirit, sharing memories, stories and generous gifts in support of the unrestricted Boxer Spirit Fund, as well as many other important philanthropic areas at Pacific.
Boxer Spirit was alive and well at Pacific in the generous giving, caring and sharing throughout Boxer Giving Day. Thanks to your support, it will live on as future generations of Boxers find and live lives of purpose through their Pacific University education.
