ELC Self-Portraits on Display at Forest Grove City Library
The Early Learning Community (ELC) at Pacific University is an independent preschool through 4th grade school connected to the university’s College of Education. We offer a play and project-based learning experience grounded in best practices backed by research, with an emphasis on explorations of the natural world.
Our How We See Ourselves exhibit showcases the work of our preschool through 4th grade students, and it can be viewed at the Forest Grove City Library until Nov. 27!
At the start of the year each classroom asked the children to make a self-portrait. These snapshots capture how our students see themselves at that moment in time with all the emotions of the day, a budding sense of fashion, a first lost tooth, or a fascination with freckles. Taken together, it also reflects how artistic abilities change and evolve over the course of a child's first decade of life.

We are just starting our enrollment process for the 2024-2025 school year and expect to have openings in every classroom!
