Filming on Campus June 28 - Canceled
Update: The filming has been canceled for June 28, and will be rescheduled.
On June 28, a crew will be filming scenes for the feature-length motion picture My Dead Friend Zoe on campus all day (8 a.m. to dusk) on the Marsh Hall West Lawn and Marsh Hall sidewalk. The Marsh Hall sidewalk from College Way to Marsh Hall will not be closed, although you may be asked to pause momentarily during the filming process.
Pacific University's Marsh West Lawn will be a park scene of a small town Memorial Day celebration. Filming will take place during the day as the sun sets in the oak grove area between Marsh Hall and College Way.
My Dead Friend Zoe is a dark comedy drama feature film about veterans. At its core, MDFZ is a buddy film about a complicated friendship, a divided family, and the complex ways in which we process grief. Inspired by the writer-directors's real life experiences with PTSD and the loss of his best soldier (not by war, but suicide), the script explores the subject matter in a unique manner-that is entertaining, apolitical and rife with social impact.
