Register to Vote to Participate in Oregon's May 16 Special Election

Are you registered to vote in Oregon? The Tom McCall Center for Civic Engagement wants to remind voters that time is running out to participate in Oregon's May 16 special election. Voters must register to vote or update their voter registration details (eg. mailing address) by Tuesday, April 25. 

Voters can check whether their registration is current and what party they are registered with by visiting My Vote and entering their first and last name and birthday. Voters who want to register to vote in the upcoming election can also register to vote on the same site.

Visit your county elections website to learn more about what's on your ballot this year. Voters’ pamphlets will be mailed to households the week before ballots are mailed on April 26. Ballots are due back by mail or drop box no later than 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16. 

Oregon's May 16 election will feature local races such as school boards, fire & water districts, and county commissions along with a slate of local ballot measures. Elected officials like these make a wide range of decisions that affect your daily life.
