In Memoriam: Matthew Miller MHA ’13

Matthew B. Miller died June 21, 2022, at age 41, in his home in Alameda, Calif. Miller was born on Jan. 4, 1981, to Walter and Shirley Miller in Bend, Ore. Miller is a graduate of Mountain View High School, Class of 1999. He joined the Marines Corps after graduation and served from 1999 to 2003. Post-military, he attended Oregon State University-Cascades Campus, where he graduated in 2007 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. Later, Miller earned his master's degree in healthcare administration from Pacific University in 2013, and worked in healthcare consulting, frequently traveling to meet with clients throughout the country.

In his free time, Miller enjoyed pursuing his passions of fly fishing, hunting, and spending time with loved ones. His larger-than-life personality will be missed tremendously. He is survived by his parents; his beloved sister Alicia Miller; daughter, Abigail Rose Miller; and adoring partner, Liana Hamilton.
