World Class Guitar and Lute Player Performs with Pacific's Philharmonic Orchestra
Christopher Berg, Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the School of Music at the University of South Carolina and world class guitar and lute player will perform Antonio Vivaldi's Concerto in D Major with the Pacific Philharmonic Orchestra at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18.
Berg has performed recitals in Carnegie Recital Hall and Merkin Hall in New York in addition to hundreds of recital and concerto appearances throughout the United States. He has been honored by the National Endowment for the arts as a recipient of a Solo Recitalist Fellowship. The Post and Courier (Charleston, SC) described his playing as "a stellar display of guitar virtuosity." Berg also published several influential books on guitar pedagogy and performance.
