Maggie Ho, OD, MS, FAAO
Dr. Ho currently serves as the Director of Pacific University Low Vision Clinic located in Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, WA. She is also an Assistant Professor for the College of Optometry. Since arriving, she has been enjoying her work teaching various lectures and attending clinical services with optometry students.
Dr. Ho received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of British Columbia. During her master’s degree studies, she focused on the physiology and genetics of diabetes and was awarded with a Pharmaceutical Sciences SSRP Award and several Interdisciplinary Studies Graduate Awards by the University. Shortly after, she completed her doctorate in optometry from Pacific University, College of Optometry, where she was also recognized for her excellence in serving the community with a Community Service Award in 2016. In addition, she was honored with the Certification of Appreciation for Excellent Volunteer in 2015 and 2016 by the Washington State School for the Blind. She then went on to complete her low vision residency at the University of Incarnate Word, Rosenberg School of Optometry. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO).
Dr. Ho has published papers in scholarly journals, delivered presentations, and displayed posters at professional meetings. She has practice experience in hospitals, Indian Health Service, Veterans Affairs, non-profit organization, schools, and private practices. She is fluent in English and Chinese. Her mission is to continue expanding her knowledge and experience to better serve her patients and educate her students.
