Cindy Schuppert '83 Honored for Outstanding Leadership

Cindy Schuppert ’83 has received the Pacific University Outstanding Leadership Award.

The director of Facilities Management & Campus Public Safety, Schuppert has been working for Pacific since  1983.

She is being recognized for exceptional leadership during the most challenging time in Pacific’s recent history.

During the pandemic, her team applied protocols to create safer environments for Pacific students, faculty and staff in the face of ever changing public health requirements. Facilities also supported 15 vaccination clinics at the Forest Grove and Hillsboro campuses.

As one colleague noted, “She has inspired us all to do more.”

The Outstanding Leadership Award recognizes employees who promote a participative environment, encourage their staff to reach goals, and act upon employee input. Recipients are role models for others and foster a collegial environment.
