In Memoriam: Paul Hugh McGilvra
Paul Hugh McGilvra died July 31, 2022, at age 80. The son of Times-Litho printing company founder and community leader Hugh McGilvra, Paul graduated from Forest Grove High School in 1957, earned his undergraduate degree from Willamette University in 1961, and earned a law degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He worked at the Times-Litho from 1975 to 1995, serving as the company’s chief executive officer into the early 1990s. He also penned a 35-page booklet chronicling his father’s journey from a child in Draper, S.D., to Forest Grove. He was a business icon in Forest Grove and a long-time supporter of Pacific University.
McGilvra was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Lorna; and his sister, Joanne Rose. He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Beverly Anne McGilvra; daughter Stephanie; stepsons David and Alan Phillips; and five grandchildren.
