In Memoriam: Raphael Lyons MST '85

Raphael Lyons Jr. MST '85 died on Dec. 25, 2020 at age 86. Lyons entered the U.S. Marine Corps in 1953, and served for eight years, including time spent in the Korean War. He then attended Pacific University to begin his teaching and coaching career. Lyons taught nearly every subject at Seaside High School in Seaside, Ore., teaching 16 different classes over a 45-year career. He was a member of the Oregon Athletic Coaches Association and the Seaside American Legion.

Lyons is survived by wife, Sharee; sister, Joan; son, Lance; daughter, Lacy; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
