Carolyn van der Meulen OT ’21 received a Special Recognition Award from the Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy.
“Carolyn has truly demonstrated her commitment to finding ways to continually foster a positive educational experience within the School of OT,” professors said. “She volunteered extensively to support other students educationally and significantly contributed to the development of writing supports for our students.”

Van der Meulen graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a doctor of occupational therapy degree.
The School of Occupational Therapy offers a three-year professional, entry-level doctoral program that prepares students for national board certification as an occupational therapist. OTs are healthcare professionals who work with clients to facilitate their ability to engage in occupations — professional, personal or recreational — that give meaning to their lives.
